The current cost a private sight test is £40 and includes OCT scans of your eyes.
We recommend that NHS patients have OCT scans for a detailed view of their eyes. These are not paid for the national health and as such a private fee of £15 is charged for this.

- you are eligible for an NHS complex lens voucher – your optician can advise you about your entitlement

- you get tax credits and meet the criteria

- you have a low income and are named on a valid NHS HC2 certificate for full help with health costs
